Ruby Ellen's is the daytime half of the Carlingford Arms operation, a tea room a few doors along Newry Street that covers the gap between a coffee and a full meal: the sort of place you use before a walk on the greenway or after coming down off Slieve Foye. It opens six days a week and is currently closed on Wednesdays, which is worth knowing because Wednesday is also a day when several other village kitchens are shut. No bookings; it is a walk-in room.
