About
Durty Nelly's has traded beside Bunratty Castle since 1620 by its own long-standing account, making it one of the oldest pub sites in Ireland. The building is a warren of small rooms rather than one bar: the Oyster Restaurant, the Loft Restaurant, the Main Bar, the Local Bar, and a snug, each with its own character. It is famous enough that a licensed namesake trades in San Antonio, Texas, which says something about how far the original's reputation travels. Expect oysters, seafood, and traditional pub fare, plus live music and sing-alongs in the bar in the evenings.
