Garda Station
Newmarket-on-Fergus Garda Station, Ennis Road, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co. Clare, V95 D968, +353 61 368172
University Hospital Limerick, St Nessan's Road, Dooradoyle, Limerick, V94 F858. 24-hour Emergency Department, all ages, about 16 km and roughly 20 minutes' drive from Bunratty.
+353 61 588 611The number above is the Emergency Department direct line; the hospital switchboard is +353 61 301 111. For a non-life-threatening injury such as a broken bone, sprain, minor burn or minor head injury, St John's Injury Unit is closer and usually much quicker: St John's Hospital, St John's Square, Limerick, V94 H272, +353 61 462 132, open 8am to 8pm seven days a week for patients aged 5 and over. It is an injury unit, not an emergency department, and it is not open 24 hours. Bunratty village itself has no medical centre, pharmacy or Garda station; residents and visitors use Newmarket-on-Fergus or Limerick city. The Shannon Estuary shoreline near the village is tidal mudflat, not a swimming or boating spot, so there is no local water safety infrastructure to note beyond the general 112 emergency line.
