An 8th-century carved pillar stone standing on a drumlin about 1.6 kilometres southwest of Bantry, likely the site of an early monastic settlement. The carvings include Celtic knotwork, a praying figure, and a currach with oarsmen navigating a sea of crosses, one of the earliest known Irish depictions of a boat under sail or oar. Free to visit and usually very quiet.
