Hospital Road, Carrignagat, Bantry, Co. Cork, P75 DX93
+353 27 50133General hospital with a Local Injury Unit and Medical Assessment Unit (not a 24-hour Emergency Department)
Bantry General Hospital treats minor injuries and provides medical assessment, but does NOT have a full 24-hour Emergency Department. The nearest full A&E is Cork University Hospital, roughly 87km / about 1 hour 15 to 30 minutes by road, depending on traffic and route via Bandon or Macroom.
For a life-threatening emergency dial 112 or 999. On the Sheep's Head Way or any exposed coastal section, mention you need Mountain Rescue or the Coast Guard when you call, as mobile coverage is patchy on the ridge.
