The Loch & The Tyne is chef Adam Handling's countryside gastropub at Old Windsor, a few minutes' drive south of the town, and it is the most credible worth-a-trip meal in the area. It cooks elevated versions of pub classics from local produce and its own kitchen garden and orchard, family- and dog-friendly, and is best known for its Sunday lunch. It is regularly named among the district's best by Berkshire-wide guides, not just as a good option for Windsor. It is not walkable from the Castle, so drive or taxi, and book ahead.
