Rother Street, Stratford-upon-Avon
The town's traditional market, on Rother Street every Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm (the market's Rother Street page says 5pm on Saturdays, its home page 4pm), run for the councils by LSD Promotions Marketplace. The council describes Friday as the traditional retail market, the charter market that dates from Edward VI's charter of 1553 (moved from Thursday to Friday in 1819), with local makers, street food and vintage finds, and Saturday as the Urban Mix Market, with producers, occasional farmers and artisan food stalls. It is close to the Old Thatch Tavern on the corner of Greenhill Street, and Rother Street is among the streets closed for the Mop Fair in October.
