A wine bar and restaurant at 4 and 5 Sheep Street that opens for breakfast at 9.30am and keeps a seasonal, locally sourced menu going through the day: a la carte from midday to 9pm Monday to Saturday, and to 4pm on Sundays. It is the sensible answer to the Stratford question of where you eat at 5pm. The Vintner treats tables booked between 5 and 6pm as pre-theatre and asks for them back by 7.15, and for anything between 6 and 7.30pm it asks you to ring on 01789 297259 rather than book online. Dogs are allowed in the bar area only, not in the main restaurant or upstairs. There is a private dining room for up to 18.
