The barn restaurant attached to Balgove Larder farm shop on the Strathtyrum estate just outside town, cooking steaks and grills over an open fire using meat from the farm's own butchery next door. It is walk-in only, first come first served, with no reservations taken except during the University's graduation weeks, so arrive outside the Saturday lunch rush if a queue is something to avoid.
