The Padstow to Rock Ferry
About
The passenger ferry across the Camel to Rock is run by the Padstow Harbour Commissioners and takes foot passengers, bikes and dogs. It leaves from a pontoon in Padstow harbour and, when the tide is low, from a landing further up the shore towards Stepper Point, and the operator publishes different low-tide landing times for each side. Fares are one-way only: an adult single is 3 pounds, a child single 1.50 pounds and a bicycle 3 pounds, all by card, and the operator says you must buy a ticket in each direction. First ferry from Padstow is 8am; the last one depends on the season, from 5pm in winter to 7.45pm from 21 July to 31 August. After the last boat a separate water taxi runs the crossing in the evening. Across the water are Rock's beach and dunes and St Enodoc Church.

Tips
- →Card payments only, and single fares only: buy a ticket for the way back on the Rock side.
- →Last ferry from Padstow: 5pm from the end of British Summer Time to 31 March; 6pm 1 April to 1 June; 7pm 2 June to 20 July; 7.45pm 21 July to 31 August; 7pm 1 to 14 September; 6pm from 15 September to the end of BST. From Rock the last boat leaves 15 minutes earlier.
