The bakery shop at 3 The Strand that was the Chough Bakery until early 2026. Malcolm Barnecutts, a Cornish family bakery whose own site says the Barnecutt line of bakers began with Percy Barnecutt in 1930, opened its fourteenth shop here on 10 February 2026 and says it is working with the existing team from the Chough Bakery. Everything is baked at the company's production unit in Bodmin and sold across its shops; the Padstow shop sells sweet and savoury products, including pasties, seven days a week. The old Chough Bakery name still appears on directories, Google listings and older guidebooks.
A farm shop and deli at Trethillick Farm, run by the Tregirls farming family whose barley goes into Padstow Gin.

Hours: Summer opening: Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday closed; winter hours are not published on the shop's own site.
