Latrigg
2km there and back on the made path · Steep at first, 1:7 for 150 metres elevation
About
The small fell directly above the town, under Skiddaw. The National Park Authority's limited-mobility path starts from the car park at the head of Gale Road and is 1km each way: steep at first, 1:7 for 150 metres, then easing to a bench on a small plateau with the view over Keswick, Derwentwater and Borrowdale. On a clear day the Authority says Scafell Pike, Great End and Great Gable are all in sight at the head of Borrowdale, with Helvellyn to the left. The summit is a short way further on a steeper, uneven path. There are no toilets on the walk; the nearest are in town.
