Clava Cairns
About
The remains of an ancient cemetery on a terrace above the River Nairn, at Bulnuaran of Clava, near Inverness. Historic Environment Scotland, which cares for the site, says the cairns are about 4,000 years old and were built to house the dead, and that the site is open all year. The two pins on our map, Clava and the Culloden visitor centre, are a little over a kilometre apart in a straight line, so most people combine them, although the road route is longer. Historic Environment Scotland's page does not list a ticket price, opening hours, parking or facilities.
