Cadw lists the house Grade II, around an early 17th-century core with later additions; the house dates itself to the mid-17th century and was once the Armstrong-Jones family home, Lord Snowdon's among them. It has eleven bedrooms, and describes itself as five-star. The Gunroom restaurant is on site, and the house says it was named Best Hotel in Wales 2026 by the Good Hotel Guide.
