The restaurant at Plas Dinas Country House in Bontnewydd, about 3.4km south of Y Maes, so a taxi or car rather than a walk. The house says it has held its place in the Michelin Guide since April 2022, holds three AA rosettes, and that head chef Daniel ap Geraint reached the final of BBC Two's Great British Menu in 2025. The menu changes every two months around Welsh produce, served at two sittings, 6pm and 8pm, with arrival half an hour early for drinks and canapes. Only a few tables go online for each sitting; ring if none show. The house also serves afternoon tea Wednesday to Saturday, paid in full when booked.
