About

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's farm on the eastern edge of the village, a five-minute walk from the centre and a world away from the green on a busy day. Its wildflower meadows are a Site of Special Scientific Interest, the Rivers Dikler and Eye run through it with otters and water voles on their banks, and it is the site of Salmonsbury Camp, a Neolithic and Iron Age meeting place that is a Scheduled Monument. The Trust waymarks a Wildlife Walk and a Time-Travel Trail, there is a replica Iron Age roundhouse, and the Oxfordshire Way runs through the reserve. Paths are level or grassy with no stiles, and the path from the farmyard to the roundhouse suits wheelchairs and pushchairs. The meadows walk closes in the wetter months. Open access all year and free; there is no car park at the farm, so park in the village.
