The Old Manse Hotel
Victoria Street, Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire GL54 2BX
About
A Greene King inn by the Windrush on Victoria Street, in a house built in 1748. The village visitor site tells its story: the Baptists raised £217 to build it as a manse for their young minister, Benjamin Beddome, who moved in when he married in 1749 and died there in 1795; the church sold the house in 1938. It has 15 en-suite rooms, a pub and restaurant on the ground floor and a terrace over the river. Three rooms take dogs, which must be booked direct; dogs are allowed in the bar but not the restaurant. Parking is limited.
