Conwy Falls
About
The Afon Conwy dropping through a deep gorge in about ten acres of ancient woodland, which the operator says is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, reached from the Conwy Falls Café on the A5 about three and a half kilometres south-east of the village in a straight line. The meadow by the café is free. For the gorge and the falls you pay £2 at the turnstile by the wooden kiosk, contactless or exact change, and follow a one-way path. The operator warns the paths are natural tracks with exposed rock and roots and some steep sections, not suitable for buggies or anyone less mobile, and that swimming and kayaking are not allowed. A public footpath from the corner of the car park follows the river to the Fairy Glen, about 40 minutes on foot.
