About
The café at the entrance to the Conwy Falls forest park, on the A5 about three and a half kilometres south-east of the village in a straight line. Its own site says Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, the architect of Portmeirion, designed the building, and that it serves breakfast all day, hot and cold food and a lot of cake, with seats on the decking and in the meadow. Walk-ins are welcome but the café advises booking a table, which it takes by phone on 01690 710336. It cannot serve customers with allergies, on the Food Standards Agency's advice, and says so plainly on its FAQ page. The meadow is free; the falls walk beyond the turnstile is £2.
