The Brewery Tap, which most people in town just call the Tap, is the corner pub at the top of High Street where it meets O'Connor Square, run by Paul Bell. It is a proper town-centre bar that also does a full gastropub menu at lunch and in the evening, with a takeaway menu on top. Its kitchen has historically been closed on Sundays. Bookings go through the pub's booking mobile rather than an online form. The Tap's own website could not be reached for this guide and its last archived opening times date from March 2025, so treat any hours you find as provisional and ring first.
