About
The largest and oldest collection of Neolithic tombs in Ireland, with more than 30 surviving monuments dating back close to 6,000 years, set on rolling farmland about 4km from the town centre. Listoghil (Tomb 51), a large cairn with a roofed passage chamber, sits at the centre of the site and is the focal point of most visits, alongside smaller dolmens and stone circles including the so-called Kissing Stone. The site is part of the wider Passage Tomb Landscape of Sligo, put forward for UNESCO World Heritage status, and its upgraded visitor centre opened in April 2026.
