Lorge is a French-trained chocolatier based at Bonane, a few kilometres south of Kenmare on the N71, run by Benoit Lorge, who makes handmade chocolates, truffles and confectionery in Kerry. There is a second Lorge shop at 18 Henry Street in the town itself. The chocolatier has run chocolate-making courses in past years but is not running any in 2026, and the boxes make one of the more distinctive Kenmare gifts. It is a short drive out of the town toward Glengarriff, so it pairs well with a run down the Beara road. Check current opening times before you go.
