Tom Crean Base Camp, at 25 Main Street, is the rebrand of the long-running Tom Crean Fish & Wine and now runs as a craft-ale bar, cafe and guesthouse named for the Kerry Antarctic explorer, with the family's own Tom Crean Brewery beers on the taps. It does relaxed food and drink through the day in a lively room, a more casual counterpoint to the town's booking restaurants, and a good spot for a pint of a local ale and a plate without a reservation. Come in and find a table; it can get busy on summer evenings.
