A hire cruiser from the Carrickcraft marina is self-catering accommodation that moves, with two to twelve berths, a galley and a shower, and the freedom to tie up at a public mooring anywhere on the Shannon or the Shannon-Erne Waterway. No licence is required and handover includes tuition. It is not a cheap week and it is weather-dependent, but for a family it competes squarely with a rented house, and you wake up somewhere different each morning.
