A small-batch coffee roastery working out of Unit 6 at The Hive, the enterprise centre on the edge of town, run by a roaster who came to Leitrim out of the Austro-Hungarian and Italian coffee traditions. Most of what Artessa does is wholesale, supplying and training cafes, but the beans sell online in 250g and 1kg bags and the roastery's coffee turns up in rooms around the town. The sustainability side is unusually concrete: recyclable packaging with removable labels, compostable void fill made from potato, jute sacks given away to gardeners.
