Kilkenny City Boat Tour on the River Nore

The river gives you a view of Kilkenny that the Medieval Mile cannot. Boats leave from the pontoon at Canal Square, beside John's Bridge, and head upstream on the Nore past the war memorial, St Canice's Cathedral and its round tower as far as Greens Bridge. They turn there and run back down under John's Bridge and right beneath Kilkenny Castle, then along Castle Weir to the ruins of the Ormonde Woollen Mill before returning to Canal Square. The skipper talks you through the history as you go. It is run by Boattrips.ie.
