About
The signature coastal route once ran along the foot of Bray Head between Greystones and Bray, one of the best seaside walks near Dublin. It has been CLOSED since 2021 because of repeated landslides, with a reopening timeline of around three more years as of 2026, and it is closed from both ends. Do not attempt it. For an open headland walk take the Bray Head Loop; for a flat coastal walk take the Kilcoole path; and for the hop to Bray, the DART covers it in a few minutes.
Highlights
- ✓Closed since 2021 (both ends)
- ✓Use the Bray Head Loop or Kilcoole path instead
- ✓DART links Greystones and Bray in minutes
Tips
- →The path is closed and unsafe; do not attempt it from either end.
- →Walk the Bray Head Loop or the flat Kilcoole coastal path instead.
- →Take the DART for the few-minute hop to Bray.
