The Workhouse Coffee Shop
The Workhouse, 1-6 Church Meadows, Figart, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal, F92 NX47
About
A small café in one of the original reception buildings of the 1845 workhouse on the western edge of the village. The Workhouse's own FAQ is plain about what it does: tea, coffee and baked treats, and no savoury food at present, with staff happy to point you to lunch elsewhere. It is the natural place to sit down before or after the Famine exhibition, or at the start of the Heritage Trail, which begins on the same site, and children can be sent out to the playpark next door.
