Drake's Pool and the estuary walk
← All things to do
About
The signature Carrigaline walk. A flat, paved path follows the old Cork to Crosshaven railway line along the Owenabue estuary, out to Drake's Pool, the deep tidal basin where Sir Francis Drake is said to have hidden his ships. It is roughly five kilometres each way if you go all the way to Crosshaven, with benches, water stops and harbour views the whole way. Suitable for buggies, wheelchairs and bikes.
