About
Belmullet Boat Charters, run by the Lavelle family who have been crossing to the Inishkea Islands since 1851, is the established operator for trips out of Blacksod. The most popular run is the Inishkea Islands ferry, landing you on the deserted islands with their silver strands, machair, ruined village and early Christian remains. They also run a wildlife sea safari around the islands and Duvillaun's seal colony, taking in sea cliffs, caves and the chance of dolphins, plus sea angling, coastline tours and sunset cruises. Boats run in the summer season; book ahead.
